What Are The Causes of Tree Nuts Allergy?

Millions of people all over the world have one thing in common – they have a tree nuts allergy. It can be to one or a variety of nuts but usually if you have a reaction to one your best course of action is to avoid all of them. There are many different causes of tree nuts allergy, but in many causes the answer to that question isn’t known. What is know is that it is a very serious allergy that a person needs to pay close attention to.

The main recognized cause of tree nuts allergy is that the body can be hypertensive to them. As a result the immune system goes on a quest to attack rather than to allow the body to digest them like it does the other types of food that you consume. As a result it creates chemicals that end up resulting in an array of symptoms for you to experience. They can be very mild or very severe depending on how your body chooses to fight them. Generally, the more you consume tree nuts the more severe your symptoms will become as the body continues to built up an attack against them.

Since the majority of people that have a tree nut allergy have it from the time they are a child until they die, researchers believe that there is a variation in the immune system that results in it rejecting aspects of tree nuts. There is still plenty of research that has to be completed though before those exact elements are pinpointed. There seem to be many variables though that can affect a person’s risk of a tree nuts allergy.

It is known that those individuals with other types of allergies also have this one. For example at least 60% of people with a peanuts allergy also have it to tree nuts. Those with asthma and chronic allergies are also at a higher risk. This all indicates that there are differences in their overall immune system and who it reacts to foods and environmental factors.

There are quite a few advocacy groups out there giving parents of young children information about the possibility of the tree nuts allergy being due to immunizations as well. They believe that the immune system is significantly altered as a result of all these immunizations, with most of them not being a necessity. This variation of the immune system it what makes their young bodies more susceptible to developing various types of allergies including those to tree nuts.

As more studies are done to determine the causes of tree nuts allergy we will have more answers. What the main concern should be though is how to prevent them from occurring since these types of allergic reactions can be quite severe. Perhaps one day though the many causes of this allergy can be found and then a cure for it in place so that it isn’t a problem anymore.
