Food Allergies Treatment

When I was a baby I had an allergy to milk. It caused me to have eczema as well as other symptoms. Supposedly I “got over it” but I’m thinking I’m still reacting just in a non violent way. I am overweight and I have skin redness which seems to be rosacea, oily/dry skin, and a tendency to have many blackheads on my face not so much pimples. Basically horrid skin in my opinion. Could this be what my body does from drinking milk or eating it’s products? Am I still reacting allergically just not the severe way? I’m really looking to see answers from people who have had these problems and cut down on milk and saw a change. Thanks.

My 10.5 month old little girl had colic from 3 weeks to 5 months. Doctors determined that it was a cow milk/soy protein allergy. I cut out all dairy in my diet and she got better I was able to nurse until she was 7 months old. I tried her on nutramigen, allimentum but she was having no part of it. I tried nestle good start dha and ara and we havent had any problems for almost 4 months, not that she drinks the amount that shes supposed to, (20 ounces a day) So I thought she had grown out of her allergy. As she is getting close to a year old and is a picky eater I wanted her to stay on the formula but switch to the #2 made by good start. I tried her on 3 bottles over a weeks time of half old/half new and profuse vomiting within 5 mins of taking bottle. So what do I do when she turns one. Do I try her on the Whole milk, Do I have any other options?? or keep her on the baby formula thats been working so far??

When did your baby start to show a milk allergy? My baby has been on formula, but sometimes he sneezes and/or coughs. He also has a little body rash sometimes, although I am pretty sure it’s not due to his soap. Just wondering when babies are supposed to manifest this allergy, and what to do about it.

My daughter is getting ready to turn one and normally would begin drinking whole cows milk. Unfortunately, she cannot tolorate milk, cheese, etc and Im not sure what she will eat once she turns one. Does anyone know?

Trying to reintroduce milk (has been on soy because he’d throw it up). He is ine year now and breaks out and vomits if we attempt milk.
