Question by SK: what do these symptoms sound like to you?
I thought I had chronic fatigue but then found out that wheat/gluten causes fatigue. I stopped eating gluten but whenever it finds its way into my diet I am bone tired/exhausted (like sleep 3 days straight) for about a week? allergy pills don’t help much at all (I don’t notice any relief)? does this sound like celiac or an allergy? thanks.

sick stomach, after eating,
gurgling noises in stomach or intestines,
cramping in lower abdomen,
on and off diarrhea, like one day no diarrhea, he next day, diarrhea in the evening, the day after, diarrhea in the morning.

Question by Do your own thinking!: Where did all these food allergies come from?
Questions here routinely have “and I’m allergic to wheat, eggs, soy, etc, etc” added to them.
You never heard that not so many years ago; similarly, nobody batted an eye about peanuts.
What’re the theories about why this is on the rise?
And — no offence to the so-afflicted — but is any of this “it gives me a bit of digestive trouble” rather than actual “allergy”?
