Food Allergies Treatment

Question by Christy: Does condensed/evaporated milk and other milk products contain wheat?
My mom just discovered she had an allergy to wheat and i was wondering if milk had wheat products or whatever. She’s on a WHEAT-free diet, not a gluten-free diet, according to her doctor, there’s a difference. Also, my mom’s been drinking Ensure, this vitamin shake i think to regain her health and i want to know if this goes against her diet too.

Check the food/ingredient labels. They will tell you what each product contains. Often, “Contains wheat products” will be in capital letters just below the ingredients, and “wheat” will also be listed in the ingredients list.

No and no cure. Yea you can take like benedryl, but being exposed over and over again will only make the allergy worse and you will eventually go into anaphylatic shock.

My doctor told me to limit my intake on milk products while breastfeeding because of allergies the baby might get. did moms out there limit their intake with breastfeeding?

Question by Britts83: Can someone with a cow dairy allergy consume goat or sheep milk products?
I’m dying with out dairy! I don’t know if I’m allergic to the casein or the beta protein or whatever its called. I hear that milk fat proteins are very similiar in cow and goat.

i can’t and i might “die” with milk products. find healthy substitutes and don’t rely on your imagination to make you think you need the products of a strange animal species.
