Question by Charles: Agree or Disagree: If a bully in grade school does something like throw peanuts at a kid with peanut Allergies?
That Bully should go to a children’s psychiatric center for a quick check up to make sure he doesn’t have a severe psych problem.
Because today most people know that a person with a peanut allergy can have the kind of allergy that just touching a peanut can kill them.
And since the bully doesn’t know how severe the allergy is the bully should of assumed the worse.
If the Bully does have a psych it should best be treated ASAP.

Question by Melissa: My son is allergic to milk, egg whites, soybean, peanuts, cod fish, and wheat. What can he eat?
My son will be 3 in July. I already knew he was allergic to milk. He was just tested and now I know he has other food allergies. He’s even allergic to cat & dog dander (not unusual) and cockroaches (unusual to me). What am I suppose to feed him? I can’t find goats milk, where am I suppose to look? Obviously a farm, but there are a lot of farms, where do I go and what am I suppose to feed him?

Do you have any health food stores near you? Whole Foods? Trader Joes? Even if they are a long drive it is worth it once or twice a month to get food from places like that. Feed him lots of vegetables and meat (chicken, turkey, etc). Give him vegetables that aren’t so hard to digest (potatoes). Sheep milk and buffalo milk is also a decent alternative to real milk. If you can’t find either just replace his milk with juice or water (if he likes it ). It is actually easier to deal with allergies when a child is younger. When they are all grown up they are less likely to try new foods they would otherwise be opposed to.

Question by Cassie: Avoiding Peanuts While Pregnant?
What do other mum’s think about this? Could eating peanuts while pregnant really raise your baby’s risk of a peanut allergy?
If this is true then why aren’t we told to avoid milk in case the baby becomes allergic to dairy?
My thoughts are that it’s probably a myth, but I’ll steer clear of the delicious nuts just in case. What do you think?

Yes you can, BUT READ THE PACKAGE VERY CAREFULLY FIRST!
Make sure that they weren’t processed in a plant that also processes peanuts. If they were, there has been cross contamination and you will have a reaction.

Question by resq-girl: Can someone that is allergic to peanuts have a reaction just by smelling or touching peanuts?
My husband insists on this. We have a 3 month old and I like to let her smell different foods that we eat for a sort of sensory experience. My husband got upset because I let her smell peanut butter. Can she have a reaction this way if she has an allergy? I thought it was only upon ingestion.

yes, some people that are alergic to peanuts are really really alergic, and just the touch can make them break out, most schools have a peanut free table, and that is why most airlines dont serve them anymore.
i think it is possible if she is really really alergic, but it takes 2 times of exposure to something to produce an alergy. like the first time your body builds up immunities, and the second time the actual alergic reacton will occur, find other things for your baby to play with until she is closer to 2 years of age
