Question by liza1979: They put my 2 month old infant to nutramigen secondary to milk allergy.?
We’ve been doing hemoccult test to check if theres still blood in his stool and always turned out positive. Its been 3 weeks now and the test is always positive. His pediatrician told us to stick with the nutramigen and observe him and the stool. Is there anybody out there that experienced our situation right now? And also what did you do or did your pediatrician do to resolve the problem? Please reply I am very worried

how long has he been on it (the nutramigen) before the hemo test came back? I can help you w/ support as I know how freaking out you must have been to see blood in the diaper the 1st time….

I have 25 cans (400gms/tin) of nutramigen formula milk by Mead Johnson, for babies with cow’s milk allergies. The tins are still inside the box. Any idea if babies prefer the taste of one over the other ? My baby has cows milk allergy and I am debating between Alimentum and Nutramigen. Die-Hard Breast Milk advocates who have “pearls of wisdom” on giving breastmilk instead of forumla.. please do NOT reply !!!! I know that breastmilk is the best and I am planning on supplementing on the days I feel my milk supply may not be enuff for my 4.5 month old.
