Question by savannah: I got my allergy test back and need some help?
I got a food allergy test because I wanted to know which foods I might be allergic to and this is what came back:
Wheat
Oats [highest]
Corn
Rice
Soy
Tomato [mild]
Strawberry [mild]

Am I screwed in the food department because all the normal alternatives like soy, rice and corn or on the list? Like if I didn’t want to eat wheat I can’t have corn or rice pasta! What could I choose?
Also with dairy, I avoid dairy but if I can’t have soy, rice or oat milk what can I have?
oh ok thanks proud mamma for helping me!
what is the “Food challenge”? is it where you test your heart rate?
i don’t get rashes from the foods but i do think i get heightened anxiety attacks after eating the foods and my chest feels heavy.
no i did another blood test and it said i wasn’t celiac yet i have wheat listed, hm

Best answer:

Answer by jay
you should ask your doctor

I just found out my 2 year old is allergic to milk and peanuts. I need new recipes, so if anyone has any recomendations i would appreciate them.

Best answer:

Answer by ckngbbbls
If he is not allergic to soy products, I would think you could simp[ly replace any milk product with soy milk in most recipes. Peanuts wouldn’t be as hard , I would think, as long as you do not use peanut oil in anything. FYI, an allergic friend told me to watch for chocolate too since generally peanut products and chocolate products are produced in the same factories and frequent product crossing can occur.

Question by J: I am allergic to milk. Do I need to take acidophilus?
I stopped eating milk because I was diagnosed with a milk allergy. I notice when I drink milk I get gassy and congested. So to me its not worth it. So after I stopped eating milk I noticed I thought I developed allergies. I asked a natural medicine person and she said I was probably low on acidophilus. She muscle tested me and I was really low on acidophilus. I started taking pro-biotics and it seems my allergies have gotten better. Do you think I just wasn’t getting enough acidophilus in my diet? I have heard that acidophilus regulates your nasal passage and mucous.

thanks

Question by Courtney: Dogs with allergies need a new food?
I have two Standard Poodles, and they both have allergies. One is allergic to wheat (but not oats or barley), and the other is allergic to turkey. Does anyone know a veterinary diet that would be ok for both of them to eat? Please do not suggest brands like Iams or Pedigree; the popular commercial brands are the worst for their allergies.
I have heard of Hill’s z/d, but my vet says that lots of dogs hate the taste. I would prefer not to go with the BARF diet because I have cats, and I don’t want them treating themselves to extras. I forgot to mention, but the reason I am looking for a new food is because their current food is being discontinued. I’m trying something by Eagle Pack; family friends who own a cousin to my wheat-allergy pup use it and apparently have fantastic results. They also claim the breeder recommended it.
More details…Wheat seems to give both dogs ear infections, but one worse than the other. Even regular cleaning doesn’t seem to help. Turkey causes the other dog’s muzzle to become very swollen, and she gets very lethargic. Luckily this only happened once.

Answer by Skyhoss
check at pet smart the brand of food i but is called Natures Recipe it has no wheat. if you do not have a pet smart in your area check this site www.naturesrecipe.com i hope this help you. i feed it to both my dogs because one is allergic to wheat.

Best answer:

Answer by blueberrieswirl
Vegan lunch box does a VERY good job of having recipes with no gluten or soy. Plus it is vegan so no milk either. If you eat meat you can always add some meat to the recipes she provides.

Gluten-free Goddess also has a good amount of stuff you might like.

Basically, look up gluten-free with regards to starch, and vegan with regards to dairy. That’ll make it much easier to find recipes (and products that you can sub into recipes), since soy and peanuts can be cut out from there. Wheat is covered under gluten so you don’t have to specifically look for wheat-free.

Best answer:

Answer by DAVID M
Check with your doctor to see if you may be deficient in the B complex vitamins.

Proper digestion of food is highly dependent on bs’. It can cause multiple allergies to numerous types of foods.

Other than that it could be the deficiency of enzymes to break down the allergic provoking foods and or chemicals

My sister recently got allergy testing done and it came back with her allergic to a lot of foods. Well her birthday is this weekend and I want to make her some sort of cake, but she is allergic to dairy products, soy products, corn, wheat, gluten, eggs, yeast, and rye among other things. Does this leave me any options to make her some kind of cake or something so we can put candles in it for her to blow out? Id hate for her to miss out on something like that due to her newly found allergies. Thank you!
