Answer by Magnix2k
Yeah, its the wheat (and could be other dairy food). I ate wheat bread with ham and nothing on it for lunch, got bloated and farty. I stopped eating wheat breads.

Question by jiygfk: Does being allergic to shrimp mean that I might be allergic to other things?
I am pretty sure that I am allergic to shrimp. I have always avoided eating shrimp because I was convinced that it would taste gross, but one day I ate some of my mom’s fried rice (not knowing that it was shrimp fried rice) and my mouth and throat started feeling tingly and like it was closing up, and I got really sick to my stomach, and ended up puking up the fried rice. Keep in mind, I only had a few of the little pieces of shrimp that were in the fried rice, so had I eaten more, who knows how bad the reaction would have been. Anyways, does being allergic to shrimp mean being allergic to shellfish, or other similar foods? I know I can eat fish sticks, tilapia, salmon, and catfish without a bad reaction, but I’ve never had any other type of seafood. I have also eaten clam chowder and nothing bad happened. I’m just kind of nervous about going near seafood. What do you think? Also, do I need to carry one of those epipens? I think a doctor has to prescribe you one, but I havent gone to the doctor about allergies, should I?

Best answer:

Answer by Ed Atun
An allergy test by a doctor costs 0 apiece for 2 tests. Or you can do your own detective work. Try to add a new food and see if you have the reaction. You can read more at www.webmd.com and www.medlineplus.com..

Question by kelly h: What does too much calcium in my babys blood mean?
My daughter has had bloods taken for her calcium levels. They have come back that they are slightly higher in her blood, rather than in her bones. My doc said that she isn’t specialised in this area with children, so I would need to wait for the hospital appt for them to tell me more.

Can anyone give me any more indication of this matter. Is it serious? Is it something that i’ve passed onto her? etc etc

She is currently 16months with a wheat allergy

Thank you

This site may help answer some of your questions and concerns. According to this source, it is inherited so maybe at your appt you can ask about having yourself or other family members checked.

After i had a reaction to a brazilian nut, my doctors suggested i dont eat peanuts along with tree nuts. i happen to like peanuts and have eaten them all my life. do i really have to give them up?

Best answer:

Answer by Richard M
Peanuts don’t grow on trees. You may not actually have an allergy to all tree nuts either. I think your doctor is being overly cautious. Having said that, I believe that you might be wise to go to a specialist and discover exactly how broad your allergy is. That way you can know for sure how to be safe.
