Question by Princess madeline JPA: Why does G-d make my brother suffer from so many allergies?
He can’t eat dairy (milk eggs, yougert) , soy, tomatoes, nuts or shellfish. Why does G-d feel the need to do this to him?
Best answer:
Answer by Trish
God had nothing to do with it. There’s a MUCH-better-than-even chance that he developed sensitivities to these items because SOMEONE fed him those things as his immune system was developing. Any idea who THAT might have been?????

Question by simon: Why do so many foods contain milk despite more people having allergies to dairy products?
There is a general increase of people with allergies to milk and dairy products, yet so many unlikely foods contain milk. For example some potato chips or crisps contain milk, pasta sauce, curry sauce some times its in pitta bread, soup frozen fries etc. Many of these food just don’t need to contain milk if you made them at home you would not add milk.
What is unfair is that people who can’t tolerate dairy products are being forced out of the supermarket because its in their favorite foods.
In some individuals dairy products can cause typical allergic reaction, visual migraine which can be very dangerous if you have to drive or operate machinery, common migraine which results in days lost at work or school. Dairy can cause Irritable bowel syndrome, acne, and cows milk has been linked with increased chance of getting some cancers.
So it is unfair if customers are loosing their freedom of choice of food because they are almost being forced to consume a product they don’t want to consume.
The question is why are food manufacturers adding milk when its not necessary and more health conscious people are trying to avoid milk?
1) I know dairy intolerant people are a minority and just like smoking not all smokers will ger lung cancer or heart disease but that does not mean smoking is ok.
What I am saying is people deserve a choice.
2) If someone who is allergic to milk protein eats something which contains milk protein and suffers a reaction when driving causing injury or fatality then its partly the fault of the manufacturer for not puting a big enough warning on the food.
3) I once bought some

3) I once bought some Thai curry (made in Germany) and had to throw it away when I found it contained cream cheese! Dairy products are very rare in South East Asia so why on earth does Thai curry have to contain something thats not even found in Thailand?
4) Its NOT just LACTOSE intolerance, more often its the milk proteins like casein that cause problems and allergy.
At the end of the day its wrong that milk is used in foods which do not need milk.
