Question by megalus03: Making the transition from breastmilk to whole milk?
I just wanted to know when I can start giving my son whole milk??
Not replacing breast milk, just giving him tastes to make the transition easier.
I read somewhere around 10 months it’s ok so give them a little bit.
We have no dairy allergies in our family.
My little guy is 9 months.

Wait a bit longer it is really not a big deal for her to have it, our lo is almost 11 months old and she gets it on occasion with her lunch or dinner if she has just nursed, which is maybe once a week.

Question by momof2: Making Gluten free food- do I need to use all new bowls and pans?
I know that with a peanut allergy you can not use anything at all that has touched peanut products. Is the same true of Gluten/Wheat allergies?

well to and extent… yo;ll need a GF dedicated toaster( no bread shareing) but dishes will be fine unless they have grove in them or cracks that can collect sm particles of gluten.
the biggest concern is cross contamination when preparing foods GF you need to whatch out for air born flours bread crumbs and additions in flavors and seasonings

So,everytime I drink milk it makes me sick to my stomach and leaves an awful taste in my mouth, that can be described as a rotten egg taste. I was tested for acid reflux because of the rotten egg taste happening after I drink milk because of the acids. Anything else dairy, other than pizza cheese and mozzerella (arent they the same though?) does not bother my stomach, so they means I’m not lactose intolerant or have a milk allergy right? so whats going on?

Is it making your face break out where it touches it, like a contact allergy, or are you drinking milk and breaking out after? Also, how old are you and how often do you have this occurance? If you are allergic to it by ingestion, it is unlikely that you would only see symptoms of this on your face in terms of a break out of pimples. It could be the hormone content of the milk- if you are young and just beginning to experience the joys of hormones, the milk could be enough to push the acne breakout. You could try hormone free milk… much of the milk you buy in the grocery store comes from cows that are goven hormones to increase milk production. You could also switch to soy milk. Hope this helps a bit, good luck!
