Question by S.: Recipes with Stevia, with no Wheat or Sugar? Desserts and/or Main Dishes? (I’ve got lots of allergies) ?
I’ve got lots of allergies, and my doctor has put me on a diet with no sugar, wheat, yeast, corn, or potatoes (among other things). Some of the things I CAN eat are organic berries, stevia (as a sweetener), rice flour, oat flour, organic beef, rice, granny smith apples, stuff like that. I believe it’s called the Candida Diet or something like that. If you have any recipes (especially desserts!) that use stevia instead of sugar, and something other than wheat or spelt, please share! :D

Question by sarahS: Lots of food allergies! What can I eat? Please Help!?
I just found out that I am allergic to all fish and shellfish, beef, pork, wheat, oats, milk, corn, and tomatoes. I feel like I am going to starve. What can I eat that is safe with all of these allergies?

Rice, chicken and lots of veggies (Not corn and Tomatoes). Rice checks with almond milk…Yummm

Question by Holly P: What’s a good food to eat that has lots of protein?
I don’t really eat meat + I have allergies to peanuts, tree nuts, shell fish, + soy. And my mom says I need to eat more protein.

Well, the human body produces 20 amino acids by itself, but there are 9 other amino acids (the ‘essential amino acids’) that we must consume through food.
A COMPLETE PROTEIN is one containing all nine essential amino acids in the proportions required in the human diet.

Generally proteins derived from animal foods (meats, fish, poultry, cheese, eggs, yogurt, and milk) are complete.

Proteins derived from plant sources (“COMPLEMENTARY PROTEINS”) must be combined to form a complete protein.

There are 3 groups of foods with ‘complementary proteins’.
—-#1 – Grains (Barley, Amaranth, Bulgur (cracked wheat), Cornmeal, Oats, Buckwheat, Brown rice, Whole wheat pasta, Rye, Wheat, Flax seed, Millet, Couscous)
—-#2 – Legumes (Any type of bean, Lentils, Peas, Peanuts, Chickpeas, Soy products)
—-#3 – Nuts (Sesame seeds, Sunflower seeds, Walnuts, Cashews, Pumpkin seeds, Other nuts, but NOT PEANUTS)

You must combine one food item from one group with one from another to form a complete protein (ie. Grain and Legume, Legume and Nut, Nut and Grain)

***MEAL IDEAS: beans and rice, lentil soup with barley added into it, wheat bread with peanut butter, vegetarian chili with bread (if the chili has meat then you automatically have a complete protein and do not need to add bread).

so my sweet little 4 month old daughter has what seems to have been a cold for about 5 weeks now. at the beginning, she started off sneezing and coughing which then turned into a very congested nose. i used an aspirator several times which she really loved. (not.) then we started using a vaporizer and the mucus has gone away a lot. but it’s still there and is taking forever to completely go away. it gets worse when the evaporator runs out of water. ENT doctor said he didn’t see anything wrong but did say he say more mucus than he normally does. he had no other suggestions. could she be allergic to milk? she drinks organic formula. thoughts appreciated.
