Question by canoso: Does anyone know any good gluten-free bread recipes or gluten-free bread I can buy at a store? ?
My son had allergy testing. Wheat and soy were two of the things he is allergic to. Does anyone know of a decent bread made without these ingredients? Milk, eggs, peanuts, all the usual culprits are OK. The breads I’ve tried look and taste like hockey pucks, but we make good muffins, cookies, corn bread and other alternatives. Any links or recipes would be so helpful!

THEY SELL GLUTEN FREE FLOUR AT SOME OF THE STORES .IF YOU JUST SWITCH OUT THE REGULAR FLOUR FOR GLUTEN FREE IT WILL SAVE YOU A BUNDLE IN THE END. GLUTEN FREE PRODUCTS ARE MORE PRICEY BECAUSE SOME INGREDIENTS ARE HARD TO FIND.

You might be allergic to some of the other ingredients in bread. Most of the stuff on the shelves is soooo processed it’s got all kinds of chemicals in it. I’d pick up some organic bread, or make your own for a week or so and see if that helps at all.

Question by illinoismommy: Anyone know how to make fondant?
I am making a rice krispie birthday cake for my son, who turns two tomorrow. He has food allergies (wheat, egg and all nut) so I am doing something he can eat. I’d like to cover it with some cut fondant cutouts of the number 2. But fondant is pricey and I have the time to experiment…so I’d like to try and make it. Please only post recipes you’ve tried and had success with, I know I can just google it, but I’m looking for someone who has already had success with it. Thanks so much!
I have never made it or bought it…if it has egg then I guess I am out of luck! Thanks for pointing that out! I can always try egg replacer…but it’s never the same.

skin rash (or eczema) is a sure sign.
upset stomach is another.
behavioral problems (linked to autism).
best way to find out is to take milk out of the diet & see if you notice any changes.

Question by NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS: Does anyone have or know anyone who has really severe peanut allergies and how do you deal with it?
Hi does anyone know or have really bad peanut allergies? How do you deal with it? How do you avoid these foods where you go? Only a trace amount of a peanut or just something left on a surface can kill a person with a peanut allergy. It is very scary. Anyone can you help me I really would like some help with this question.

hi..i have severe peanut and all nut allergies. i deal with them by being careful with what i eat and checking the ingredients before i eat ANYTHING..even if it is something i have eaten before, the ingredients could have changed since the last time i ate it. i also make sure that if i am with someone who is eating any type of nuts and peanut butter i explain to them that i have allergies and ask them to please wash their hands. it means a lot when they do and i feel more comfortable and safer around them. if i am at a restaurant, i always ask what is in the food that i am ordering. it can be very scary, but it is easy to deal with after a while..i also carry my epi-pen and benadryl everywhere i go (:
