Question by Piña Coladas: Can I join the Marine Corps or Military with a nut allergy?
I have a nut allergy. It is not severe enough to kill me, and if someone is eating nuts nearby, I can be near them. I can also eat things with traces or even very small pieces of various nuts and be fine. I am not allergic to peanuts or almonds though, just ones like pecans, pistachios, and those sorts. So can I join the USMC as an officer or will I disqualified?

I wouldn’t think so, but I could be wrong. Your best bet would be to ask a USMC recruiter.

The worst that happens when I have milk is I end up with diarrhea and I can take pills before having milk to prevent that and there are pills to take after to make the diarrhea stop too. Also I get Migraines anywhere from 2-4 times per month. Excedrin Migraine makes them go away though and I can still function normally after taking it.

Can I still join the US Marine Corps? Specifically Infantry?

It is an allergy to the protein in milk, I cannot take a pill for it. I would like to know if I can still join even though I have no history of actually going into anaphyllactic shock although I was told that I can go into it and to carry epinipherine. Would there be safe things to eat for me?

yes you can join. how hard could it be to NOT drink milk. all your required to drink is water and after basic all anyone drinks is Monster to keep them awake.
