Question by don’tneedtoknow: I don’t think it’s milk, could it be a cheese allergy?
I can drink milk, even have food made with Milk, but when I eat american cheese or string cheese I get symptoms of being lactose intolerant, however I can eat fresh mozzarella or blue cheese. I have no idea where to start as far as figuring out why i get sick, and Lactaid does not help. Suggestions anyone?? Also what are some good home remedies to make my stomach feel better?

You will probably just have to learn which types of cheese bother you and avoid them. Do you have mold allergies? People who are allergic to cheese, but not milk usually have mold allergies.

Question by Harry Belefonte*s Spirit Guide: My 1st grade son has a Peanut allergy. Do you think it’s cruel that other kids bring Snoopy & Charlie Brown?
bookbags and lunch boxes to school? I tell my son to hold his nose and cover his mouth until they pass, but so many kids have these bags, he turned blue the other day in the cloak room and almost passed out!

Question by chill out: Is it true that it’s bad to drink milk while you have a cold?
Ever since I was young my parents would say that if you drink milk while you have a cold or a stuffy/runny nose that it’s bad for your cold. is it true? Cause I find that when I drink milk when I have a cold/ allergies all the mucus comes out easier.

So is this a myth or something? Is it true that milk makes the cold worse, if so, how come?

Supposedly, milk is bad when you are congested because it makes more mucus (lugees).

Question by Derrick: My throat feels like it’s slowly swelling shut. Any ideas?
Over the past 4 days or so, my throat has felt like it has been slowly swelling shut. I haven’t taken any medicine in months, I don’t have any allergies other than shellfish (but I don’t eat meat anyway), and it doesn’t hurt or feel hard to swallow or anything. It’s more of just a nagging feeling. I don’t think it’s gotten any worse, but it’s not going away. It’s only hard to breathe when my neck is turned certain ways, and in the middle of the day it’s at its worst.

I’m in California right now, and a while back there was a ton of smoke from all the fires, but it’s gone now. Could that possibly have any effect on it?
