Question by cmnc: Does it sound like wheat intolerance?
Although have don’t have any stomach trouble. I have a lot of trouble with my skin, I have a rash on my face, around my nose and forehead and chin. It flares up a lot and can be very painful. The skin becomes red and flaky and also itches. I also have the same problem on my chest from time to time. My doctor thinks it my by thrush and has given me cream for it but does seem to work. I eat a lot of natural yogurt to combat the yeast. So anyone with a wheat allergy can help out, I would be grateful.

wheat allergies can cause more serious symptoms, and some very odd ones, and this to me sounds more like a topical allergy of some sort (an allergy of the skin caused by a topical application). try switching your laundry detergent, soap and shampoo to formulas made for sensitive skin and hopefully you will figure out whats bothering you. good luck!

Question by K6b1885: can you have a wheat intolerance but not have a gluten intolerance?
i do not mean a wheat ALLERGY… i mean an INTOLERANCE… not where your throat closes up and you cant breathe or you get hives… but where you get abdominal pain and diarrhea… i have been tested for celiac disease and the tests came out negative. but whenever i ate gluten i didn’t feel well… but i decided to test how i feel when i just don’t eat wheat and eat other things that do contain gluten (such as in oats and barley..) It has been 2 weeks now and i feel fine. but i am wondering if maybe that’s just because i am not eating a lot of gluten… or if it’s because i only have a wheat intolerance (but i’m not sure if there is even a such thing as just a wheat intolerance).

I have been told that wheat is the original ‘genetically modified’ food, and that crows won’t eat it. I guess it is possible. Listen to your body, and do what works. don’t let some expert browbeat you into error.

Question by : What is the difference between a wheat and gluten intolerance?
I was on a low carb diet and did not eat any breads for the past month and I felt great! My stomach pains, bloating, and constipation, and lethargy went away. As soon as I began introducing bread in small amounts back into my diet, I started to get the same symptoms again that I have had my whole life. I am thinking it is an allergy or intolerance. I have talked to my doctor in the past and she said to try an elimination diet to see what is bothering me…which I did.
Are there tests that say which it is?

Question by Brooke Morrow: Adult onset egg intolerance, but only present when consuming eggs by themselves, not within other foods?
I turned 18 last year and within the 6 months following, developed
a whole slue of allergies and intolerance’s. The most major of these being fish/shellfish, eggs and dairy. My fish allergies are present at all times regardless of how it’s prepared or what it is in, so i know just to avoid it. But my egg intolerance is a little bit trickier, because it is only a problem when I eat eggs by themselves. I can have cake and pasta and just about anything that is MADE with eggs or egg products, but if i eat eggs by themselves, yolks and whites, my digestive system cannot handle it. Within an hour I experiences severe cramping and nausea and 9 times out of 10 I will vomit everything I ingested.

This is very difficult because I love eggs and can no longer eat them, yet i can still have products made with eggs. Is there’s something present in unprocessed eggs that goes away after they are cooked or mixed into other foods? Like maybe a protein of some sort. Because I would think that if i have an intolerance to eggs this bad by themselves, i would not be able to ingest them in any form.

Any ideas?

Eating the right food is important for your wellbeing. You can try supplementing your diet with acai berry, it’s not solely a widely tested and acknowledged weight loss produce, it’s a superfood too. There’s a risk free trial offered at http://tunach.weightcontrollive.info I’ve been using it for two weeks now and it’s certainly having an effect!!

Question by tesstess45: Wheat intolerance testing?
I have worried for some time that I may have a wheat allergy or wheat intolerance. I would like to see a doctor to be tested for the allergy and intolerance. MY question is, what kind of doctor would perform this test? Would I need to see and allergist, gastroentologist, or something else???

An allergist. I hope you’re wrong, because wheat allergies are a bear. Until you have this allergy, and have to avoid all wheat products, you don’t realize how many items, even lunch meats and salad dressings have wheat in them. It’s really hard to avoid it all. Best of luck.
