Question by jenblueblonde: need ideas for a birthday cake for someone with a lot of food allergies?
My sister recently got allergy testing done and it came back with her allergic to a lot of foods. Well her birthday is this weekend and I want to make her some sort of cake, but she is allergic to dairy products, soy products, corn, wheat, gluten, eggs, yeast, and rye among other things. Does this leave me any options to make her some kind of cake or something so we can put candles in it for her to blow out? Id hate for her to miss out on something like that due to her newly found allergies. Thank you!

tossed salad
salad with spinach leaves
chicken cut up and put in salad
sliced white onions in salad
baby carrots
celery sliced into finger food
cole slaw
all kinds of fruit
fish
tuna fish
make some vinegar and virgin olive oil dip

you mentioned those grains. grains do help the body to digest food better and quicker.

it didn’t list rice on my screen.
rice is an idea.
potatoes are an idea
there’s a million ideas with potatoes

also if you’re trying to cut some weight, go over to worldprayercenter.org and go in to find their prefast diet.
it’s typically used to prepare the body for a fast but it can be used as a 7 day diet that cuts 7 to 15 pounds in 1 week.

bananas are loaded with calories.
celery and cabbage take more calories to digest than what the body obtains from them.

Question by Brooks: Cooking ideas for someone allergic to wheat, soy, corn, chicken, beef, rice, gr. beans, potato and cocoa? True?
My son was recently diagnosed with allergies to all listed above. Luckily he loves raw vegetables, but I really need some ideas for actual cooking other than turkey and ham. Any help would be wonderful!
My son was recently diagnosed with allergies to all listed above. Luckily he loves raw vegetables, but I really need some ideas for actual cooking other than turkey and ham. Since he is allergic to wheat and soy, most vegetarian substitutes for meat are out because of the glutein. Any help would be wonderful!

You try a variety of fish dish’s. Other than that the food allergies association may be able to help. Look them up. They did a nice presentation at our school to help understand food allergies.

Question by tina: Anyone have ideas for a person with severe allergies, on where to eat out?
I have serious allergies to all seafood, all nuts, paprika, eggs, citrus, strawberries, blueberries and wheat. I have had the seafood and nuts allergy for a few years, but just yesterday i received all the others after spending a few days in the hospital for serious reactions. Any help with cooking and eating out at restaurants? I play college athletics and I have to be able to eat when we travel on days I can’t pack food. Any help at all would be much appreciated! Thank you!

Question by potentiallywonderful: Food ideas for people with Celiac’s disease?
A friend has been diagnosed with wheat/gluten allergy. Can anyone suggest any good meal tips?

Best answer:

Answer by fimbea
There is such a wide range of gluten free foods commercially available now that celiacs really are not limited in what they eat. You only have to wander into your nearest supermarket and take a really good look at what is available. I can even buy premade pies, sausage rolls, hamburger buns, cake mixes, pasta – anything really.
