Question by Chad: Would taking Antihistamine Tablets before drinking relieve my allergy to alcohol?q?
Alright, so the question states a few facts:

1. I am allergic to alcohol
2. I take antihistamine tablets to relieve the itching symptoms from the allergy

My allergy is flaring up skin, cramps in my groin area & stomach(during the alcohol consumption)

However, I’ve recently gone drinking, where this doesn’t seem to affect me as much. Given that the last time I drank, it was mostly Scotch and Whiskey. Prior to this, my last 2 allergy attacks have happened during the consumption of beer.

Anyone know if I’m allergic to BEER only? (I have no wheat allergy etc.etc.)

On a second note, anyone know if the Antihistamine Tablet taken before drinking will stop the alcohol from causing an allergy?

Thanks in advance!!

It could kill you to mix those, antihisamine have the effect of making you drowsy and making the effects of alcohol more intense, your blood alcohol level could become toxit witihout you knowing so I would definatly talk to a doctore before you do that.

beer is fizzy, you could have a stomach problem like ibs. look it up

Question by caltam84: Why do some people drive drunk despite that they know is dangerous and before they go drinking?
I know that this question is cliche and asked so many times by others.

Here are 2 analogies listed below:

An analogy is a person who has knowledge that drinking sulfuric acid is most definitely lethal. He knows that sulfuric acid is NOT potable. Yet, he drinks the sulfuric acid and maybe lost his life.

Another analogy is a person who is allegic to shellfish goes to an all-you-can-eat seafood buffet. He’s aware that his allergies can cause serious hospitalization and maybe death. Despite that, he ate the shellfish and suffered terribly.

Because no one gets in a car thinking “I’ve probably had too much to drink and will kill myself or someone else if I drive” instead choosing to believe “I am in complete control when I drink and drive because I am ‘tough’ or ‘cool’ enough to handle it”.

Hi there. I am not sure if this will help or not, but my son has a milk allergy as well. He had issues with soy milk, but here and there he is fine with it. I changed to almond milk for him and found Almond Breeze original to be the tastiest and closest to real milk. I use it in baking,”milk shakes”, his cereal..basically everything and it works just as well as milk. They have a vanilla as well, that is pretty good. Anyway, the almond milk has the vitamins and fiber and such that they need but does not upset the stomach as much as having soy daily. At least that is the experience I had with my son. He is 3 and has been on this since he was 2 when we discovered we both had milk allergy. Mine was discovered at 32 years of age. Wish I would have found out sooner! LOL… Well, I hope this helps and if not, I do hope you find something that will help your little girls tummy.

A 20 month old is incapable of being a “picky eater” unless you enable her; when she is hungry, she will eat whatever you offer her. If she doesn’t, you need to take her to a pediatrician rather than consulting Yahoo!Answers, I’m afraid!

Rather than worrying unnecessarily, take her to her doctor!

Question by I Help The Noobless.: Why do i feel really sick after drinking milk?
I’m NOT lactose intolerant, and i don’t have any allergies.
The milk wasn’t going off, and i had it in a milkshake form.

I feel like i’m going to throw up every time i have any milk at all, and i never used to be that way.
Mind you, i never do throw up.

Thanks.

You may be lactose intolerant or developed a milk allergy. Have it checked out. Allergies can kill, so don’t drink or eat stuff with milk before you get it checked out.
