My daughter was recently told she has a food allergy to cows milk, and loves Ice cream. If any one knows where I could find some I would really appreciate it. Thanks to all

Hello. I was recently told I had an allergy intolerance towards dairy – milk, cheese, yogurt etc. I was wondering if you can make ice cream and/or yogurt with soy milk. I was looking at a cuisinart ice cream maker but there are no instructions for other types of milk. Thanks.

Hey all you bakers out there! I have a severe allergy to milk protein (this is NOT the same thing as lactose intolerance, which is not an allergy).
My baker is making me a special cake and has said he is using “Venetian Cream/creme”. Does this not have milk? What is in this recipie?
Thanks!

I am 22 years old and for as long as I can remember I don’t drink much milk, or eat cereal, primarily because it seems to make my throat hurt and hard to breathe for several hours.
Second, when I eat MOST ice cream my throat feels the same way. I eat a lot of ice cream still and deal with the effects. Somtimes I regret it. Cold Stone is only place that generally effects me VERY little if at all. Dairy Queen or Ice cream from Wal-mart always seem to have a strong effect and make my throat hurt and hard of breathing.
When I eat cheese I feel the same way, as well as when I have lasagna. Just a few bites of lasagna make my throat hurt quickly and pretty bad.
So milk (2% is what i drink), and most ice cream, all cheese seem to bother my throat. ANy similar examples or things that could be in them that could be the cause? I am tired of feeling this way and want to feel better. When I was a baby i had tubes put in my ears, I read that may be common with milk allergies.thanks

I was wondering whether I could still have sour cream if I have a milk allergy (and I am lactose intolerant)…its kind of a weird question because on the container of the sour cream is says may contain milk…..which makes it sound as if sour cream is not made of milk, but their company processed it on a machine w/ milk.
Thanks!
