Food Allergies Treatment

Question by Lenny T: Can a histamine blocker kill my shellfish allergy long enough to enjoy a couple pounds of boiled crawfish?
Or would I have to take a dangerous amount of the histamine blocker? I grew up in south Louisiana and haven’t had shellfish for years, discovered the allergy in middle school. A local cajun restaurant is serving boiled crawfish one night a week and the hankerin gets stronger each time I drive past it. Talked to someone who is able to take a histamine blocker and still enjoy the food, trying to see if I have any options other than benadryl.

No this won’t work, you will end up in the ER or the morgue. Sorry.

I’m just about finished w/ a can of his formula and I’d rather not buy another one if I can just buy a jug of milk instead. He’ll be a year in a couple weeks and has never shown any allergy to whole milk yogurt or pasturized cheese. Do I have the okay or should I just wait for his appointment?
