Question by shirotsubasa: Could anyone please suggest a wheat-free & egg-free chocolate cake recipe?
My friend was recently diagnosed with a whole list of food allergies and I always feel guilty when eating my lunches in front of her. Also, one of her best friend’s birthday is coming soon. Is there a really good recipe that you can suggest?
Note: she’s allergic to egg-white, wheat, nuts and sesame seed. Those aren’t all, just those commonly present in cakes.

It’s a possibility. I’m allergic to chocolate, and my stomach gets upset and I cough a lot. It might not be the actual cocoa in the product though, it’s more likely to be in connection with the nut content. I’m pretty sure there is some sort of nut content in chocolate. I’d ask your doctor about your symptoms and ask if an allergic reaction is being given by the chocolate or the nuts.

Question by me: Is it possible to be allergic to chocolate except in chocolate milk?
Whenever my daughter consumes any form of solid chocolate she gets diarreah and diaper rash.
But, she can drink chocolate milk all day and have no symptoms?
What’s going on?
Her dr. doesn’t know a lot about allergies and just says to stay away from chocolate.

Yes, the chocolate in milk is coco powder,
the choclate in candy has been mixed with wax to make it harder.
she is probably reacting to the wax not the coco.

Question by Carey000: Any chocolate candy suggestions for people with peanut allergies?
My toddler has been diagnosed with a peanut allergy and it looks like most of his Halloween candy either has peanuts in it or is processed on equipment where the process other peanut candies. I was hoping to find some chocolate that I can buy that the little guy can eat as a treat.
He isn’t allergic to tree nuts, just peanuts.
I never said I planned on giving him a bunch of candy, but this is something he’s going to have to live with for the rest of his life, so I figured it would be good to know what he can eat.
Actually, I looked at KitKat and Nestle’s Crunch and they both had peanut warnings on the bars.

He’s screwed. Try a health food store and make sure it says no peanuts or nuts on the label.

Question by mksmiller: Can a child with peanut allergies eat white chocolate?
I’m making a treat for a kindergarten class. One of the kids has a peanut allergy. The recipe calls for white chocolate chips and I am curious if this is something that might potentially be harmful.
