Question by Erica D: My child is turning one, she has a dairy, wheat, soy, peanut, and egg allergies.?
We would like to make her own cake for her birthday, but I’m having no luck searching the internet, b/c every recipe has either one or more of her following allergies. Can anyone give me a recipe or a website with recipes so that I could make her a cake? Thank you.

Answer by JUST~ONCE . My son just had those exact tests done with almost the same results. Milk allergies he is a 3 so I am supposed to keep him away from dairy products BUT…….I don’t. He eats cake and cookies and cheese and all that stuff. The only things that bother him are milk, like a glass of milk, and mac-n-cheese. He can’t eat processed cheese but regular cheese he does fine. The rest of it, like the wheat and eggs he does fine in moderation. He gets eggs a couple times a week, and there is wheat in almost everything. Soy he can’t even touch.
So, look at the results: If your child is a 1, then she should be fine, a 2 use caution, a 3 steer clear. This is not what the doctors say, but this is only what I have found to be accurate with my son.

Question by bbonecutter: Genius child loves to run back and forth?
I have a 9.5 year old son. He is very intelligent / borderline genius according to some tests we have given. He is socially pleasant and makes friends easily. He has gluten / wheat allergy that could be celiac disease, but we did not get a final diagnosis. He is healthy now, but has struggled with gross motor skills (sports) / and certain visual processing / memory (math facts).
One of my biggest concerns at the moment is that given a choice, he would run back and forth between two objects (about 10 feet apart) for hours. Seriously. Give him a toy, he will not be interested. He will go and run back and forth. He has been doing this for years and now he is almost 10! What is going on and what should I do? I can’t imagine this will be a good thing when he is 18!

Question by Tk: does your child have any food allergies?
Do you totally avoid giving your kid that food? or just in moderation here & there?
How bad is the allergy or what is the reaction?
My 17 month old has a milk, egg, soy, and peanut allergy. I definitely avoid giving her anything with nuts, but what about things that contain milk? She was once on milk based formula for 2 months & she just broke out all the time.

Answer by Fred Using common sense would tell you to NEVER give anyone a food if they are allergic to or you could make them very sick or worse.

Question by Amber: what to feed a child with milk, egg, and peanut allergy?
Best answer:
Answer by Woofers …anything that doesn’t contain milk, eggs or peanuts. Look at the ingredient list of a food and make sure it wasn’t processed in the same area as products that contain the allergens too. Pretty easy to do. Keep on the lookout for milk (skim, 2%, fat free, powdered, etc), whey, eggs and egg whites, peanuts and peanut oil. Try to stick with vegan or gluten-free products; the manufacturers usually keep allergies in mind. ALWAYS read the label before giving anything to them, even if you think it’s safe. Just about anything can contain peanuts, eggs and milk.
