Question by Brooks: Cooking ideas for someone allergic to wheat, soy, corn, chicken, beef, rice, gr. beans, potato and cocoa? True?
My son was recently diagnosed with allergies to all listed above. Luckily he loves raw vegetables, but I really need some ideas for actual cooking other than turkey and ham. Any help would be wonderful!
My son was recently diagnosed with allergies to all listed above. Luckily he loves raw vegetables, but I really need some ideas for actual cooking other than turkey and ham. Since he is allergic to wheat and soy, most vegetarian substitutes for meat are out because of the glutein. Any help would be wonderful!

Answer by marty p You try a variety of fish dish’s. Other than that the food allergies association may be able to help. Look them up. They did a nice presentation at our school to help understand food allergies.

Question by Lori: My 2yr old has food allergies, (wheat, soy, corn, milk, eggs, beef, peanut, and chocolate).?
He doesn’t want to eat hardly anything, and I’m running out of things to try. Basically I give him what he will eat. The only reaction to his food allergies that I see is sometimes sneezing, and a runny nose. I’ve tried to give him foods that he can eat, but he won’t eat them. He drinks rice milk, he’s ok with that. I want to know if by me letting him eat some of the things he’s allergic to is it harming him? (I don’t give him anything with peanuts). For example he loves cheese, hamburgers, corn, etc. and can anyone give me any different foods or ideas of things I can give him. Thank You!
Yes he has been tested, these were all positive. Like I said the runny nose is the only reaction he has.

Answer by stephanickety Giving a child foods that are known allergens can be very dangerous. You could set off anaphylaxis.
Sneezing is not typically a food allergy reaction. Are you sure he’s allergic to these things? Has he been tested?

Question by John: Why do some people think there are people who are allergic to beef and poultry?
Nobody is allergic to either beef or poultry. You could definitely tell they are lying when they say they are allergic to both beef and poultry. Why do people even bother lying to others about their fake allergies?? That’s like being allergic to salt or water. It’s not possible. And the symptoms they claim to be allergic reactions are not symptoms of a food allergy. However, I do know there are a few people who allergic to pork and shellfish.
So far, I only read one good convincing argument. The rest are all BS!!!

Answer by Chick-A- Deedle They figure if they tell people they have an allergy that they don’t have to put up with someone trying to badger them into eating it. It’s that simple.
