Question by Brooke Morrow: Adult onset egg intolerance, but only present when consuming eggs by themselves, not within other foods?
I turned 18 last year and within the 6 months following, developed
a whole slue of allergies and intolerance’s. The most major of these being fish/shellfish, eggs and dairy. My fish allergies are present at all times regardless of how it’s prepared or what it is in, so i know just to avoid it. But my egg intolerance is a little bit trickier, because it is only a problem when I eat eggs by themselves. I can have cake and pasta and just about anything that is MADE with eggs or egg products, but if i eat eggs by themselves, yolks and whites, my digestive system cannot handle it. Within an hour I experiences severe cramping and nausea and 9 times out of 10 I will vomit everything I ingested.

This is very difficult because I love eggs and can no longer eat them, yet i can still have products made with eggs. Is there’s something present in unprocessed eggs that goes away after they are cooked or mixed into other foods? Like maybe a protein of some sort. Because I would think that if i have an intolerance to eggs this bad by themselves, i would not be able to ingest them in any form.

Any ideas?

Eating the right food is important for your wellbeing. You can try supplementing your diet with acai berry, it’s not solely a widely tested and acknowledged weight loss produce, it’s a superfood too. There’s a risk free trial offered at http://tunach.weightcontrollive.info I’ve been using it for two weeks now and it’s certainly having an effect!!

Question by buckeye_khat: What dangers are there in feeding baby “adult” oatmeal all mashed up?
The recipe in the Super Baby Food Book suggests blending regular “adult” rolled oats into a powder and using it to make baby oatmeal. I’ve been doing that for 2 months now. But, I just noticed that the bag of rolled oats says that the oats were processed on machinery that also processes tree nuts and other allergenic foods. Have I now exposed my baby to common food allergens? Is his risk for food allergies now higher than before? If so, should I now switch to the commercial baby oatmeal or is the “damage” already done?

no, no damage done. but do go back to childrens formula type though, it’s specially formulated for baby’s tummy and digestive system as compared to adult cereal which can be harsher.

Question by Bolivia: Why all of a sudden as an adult I have nut and fruit allergies?
I have eaten fruit and nuts all my life then about 2 years ago a developed a nut and fruit allergy. I got tested and I am also allergic to grass and trees. I get allergy shots which helps with my fruit allergy a little but time to time my tongue still swells. My nut allergy is crazy. I get an Anaphylaxis attack when I come in contact to nuts. Just want to know why I have this nut allergy as an adult and not when I was a kid?

I’ve never had any problems in the past with milk, in fact milk has almost always been in my diet and it’s my favorite food….lately I noticed rashes/hives on my body and this coincides with drinking milk. is it possible for an adult to develop milk allergy (I’m 26 years old).
thank you
