She is 16 months old and got a hold of some peanuts and ate them. She didn’t have any allergic reaction but I don’t know if I should now give her peanuts regularly or should I wait until she is three before giving her anymore. Does anyone know?

Yes. Wait until she’s 3. Don’t give her peanut butter either. For the same reason.

Question by terra: are peanut allergies always life threatening?
My 13 month old son had an appt with an allergist today, and turns out he is allergic to peanuts! The dr. said the reaction from the skin test was mild, but that doesnt mean anything. He even prescribed me an epi-pen just in case! What i want to know, is if its possible to have a mild peanut allergy, or if its always a life threatining situation? And what are the chances he’ll grow out of it?

Question by camiasia2000: Does Reese’s use real peanut butter in their products?(Yes this is an allergy question)?
My son has an extreme peanut allergy and his older cousin gave him some Reese’s Pieces. He didn’t have a reaction to it but now two days later he has diarrhea and a low grade fever. I need to know if this candy has something in it that is causing his digestive problems, since he didn’t react the way he normally does to peanut products.
Serious replies only please. This is an allergy that can kill him.
Yes, I am very sure; I have witnessed this happening to him twice now. And I also found out that the fever IS unrelated.
