No. This is an old wives tale. WIC gives peanut butter to pregnant women.

I dont know the specifics of that particular food, I have never heard that…I would suppose if the allergy runs in your family or your husbands I would avoid it……
my pediatrician did tell me to avoid drinking large amounts of milk though, as mothers that consume alot tend to have babies that are allergic at first or have sensitivities to it and have to be put on soy or alimentum formulas or if breast feeding the mother must avoid dairy….hope I helped some!

only if you have a family history of peanut or other nut allergies…otherwise there is no risk,a friend of mine was crazy abt peanuts during her pregnancy and her daughter now three years old with no allergies or anything

Only if you have a family history of food and peanut allergies. In that case, it is recommended that baby not eat peanuts himself or through his mother before age 3.

There are many foods you should not consume during pregnancy. Nuts are only the tip of the ice burg.
If your baby is going to have a nut allergy, you eating or not eating them will probably make no difference.
Other foods are much worse like, oysters, soft serve ice creams, soft cheeses (like bree or camamberg), seafoods, thick shakes etc. They can all potentially give you listeria bacteria. Which can cause misscariage or still birth etc.
So i think everything in moderation is ok but there are some foods to totally avoid.
Ask your doctor or baby health nurse about it all.
