I have a severe allergy to tree nuts (cashews, walnuts, pecans, etc), but I am NOT allergic to peanuts. I have had an intense craving for peanuts lately, but it is very difficult to find peanuts that aren’t manufactured in a facility that also manufactures tree nuts. Peanut butter just won’t cut it. I guess what I need help with is finding peanuts that I can eat and are tree nut free! Help?!
To the second person- I can eat pretty much any peanut I want. I have had this allergy for a number of years and when I was younger than five I wasn’t allowed to eat peanut butter at all. Now, however, I can eat as much as I want without a problem. Today, for instance, I had almost a whole jar of peanut butter!
Okay, not a whole jar, but you get the point.

You can check health-food stores or gourmet stores. They tend to have less common brands than mainstream supermarkets. (Not that the less common brands are less likely to have tree nut residue, but more brands gives you more chances to find treeless peanuts.)

actually sorry to say but you shouldn’t eat peanuts at all. Given the fact that your allergic to tree nuts it makes it something like twice as likely that you will develop an allergy to peanuts as well and they could kill you. I have been allergic to all nuts since I was a baby but my sister found out she was allergic to just tree nuts about a year ago and the doctor told her to try and stay away from peanuts as well or to moderate her intake of them. I know this doesn’t really help with your question but I thought you should know. Good luck!
