    Assuming that water chestnuts grow on trees, (?) , I would say definitely. Ask your allergist, he can probably tell you for sure.

    Do you have these wild rashes called dermititus herpitiformus (Not from herpes), caused by gluten intolerance? Go on the internet to see pictures to see if you have these red splotchy dots that get hard, and can crust, even. Unmistakable once you see such photos. If so, check out http://www.Celiac.com to read and see if you are allergic to gluten (wheat, rye,oat,barley) foods. You can look up what the specific reaction to waterchestnuts are on your search engine if you try. But they are considered pretty much not an allergen, to my understanding.

    Nut allergies can be very serious. I wouldn’t try eating any nuts if i were you.
