If baby has a peanut allergy is it safe to breastfeed if I ate a bag of peanuts?

ABSOLUTELY NOTTTT, if you breastfeed whatever you eat, so does your child.

You should avoid peanuts.
I would anyway.
Most likely, it probably wouldn’t affect your baby, but I would play it safe.
Just thought I would add.
“if you breastfeed whatever you eat, so does your child.”
^^
THAT is not true though. The food we eat does not somehow magically absorb into our breast milk. It’s not like being pregnant.

Yes, it is. Food does not go straight to your breast milk. It does not enter your bloodstream (only the fat and nutrients from the food do), therefore it is not passed to your milk.

You shouldn’t even have peanuts in the house if your baby has an allergy to them.

I would double check with your OB but I’m pretty sure you are going to be ok. Only a tiny fraction of what you eat transfers into your breast milk. If your baby is gassy or fussy it may be from the cabbage or broccoli you ate, and could be a little irritable if you ingest too much caffeine, but generally these aren’t things to worry about. Again, just because it is a potentially dangerous allergy, I would talk with your OB before you eat the peanuts.
