Peanuts are ‘legumes’, like beans and peas, which grow underground. Peanuts are technically not nuts because they don’t grow on trees. ?

Peanuts are the only ones that come to mind, so if your friend has a peanut and tree nut allergy then they should really avoid eating any kind if nut. It’s not worth the risk unless they’ve been tested and find out what, if any, nuts they aren’t allergic too.
