Can You Be Tested For Individual Components Of Milk?
Posted by: Alan in Milk Allergies, tags: Components, Individual, Milk, Tested
I found out a bit ago that I am allergic to milk through a blood test. I was curious if anyone knew if you can be tested for the individual proteins in milk to narrow it down? I.e. can you be tested for a specific allergy to casine or whey or is it just milk in general only?

Milk allergy is usually just a single protein in cow milk. In most cases it is safe to still drink soy milk or other forms of milk.
Their isn’t really a reason why you would be needed to test for an individual protein in cow milk, its going to be in all the cow’s milk no matter where you get it but yeah, I’m sure you could be tested if your really interested.
*I am not a doctor or anything, its best to talk with an Allergist about this
