He’s been on gentlease since 2 months and is almost 12. It doesn’t bother him, but when we mix in 1 oz into a 7 oz bottle, he gets really bad gas. I’ve tried this multiple times and seems to be recurring. I don’t understand how he could have an intolerance or an allergy if he’s on cows milk formula.

  1. Apple Juice says:

Gas is not a sign of being lactose. Just give him STRAIGHT milk in his cup. Warm it up a tiny bit so it is not so cold. I just started my son on milk last week, he drank it straight, he did NOT like it when it was mixed. And yes you CAN warm it up in the mircrowave, you just have to shake it really well like you do when mixing formula. I let it sit in the microwave for about 20 seconds for a 5 oz bottle.
