The first thing that comes to mind is rice milk, but is there anything else? What is the most flavorful brand? 8th Continent Vanilla was superb until I discovered an allergy to soy. So, despite my love for all things soy, soy is out. Thanks for all serious suggestions.

Rice or Oat milk. I do not think they are flavorful as Soy. But you deal with it. I too am allergic to soy..plus a bunch of other stuff. Makes life interesting.
I use Westsoy or Pacifica Rice Milk. They are gluten free also.

I’d say rice milk too…if you like soy milk you will like it. Almond milk is good too but it’s expensive and hard to find in some places. I’ve heard you can make your own but I wouldn’t have any idea how to do it.

i love soy milk…..way better than cow milk…..sorry to hear of your allergies….other than rice milk i can think of nothing other than water….have you tried a vegan site…..
i am not vegan or vegetarian but i did switch from milk to soymilk because i dislike the way cows are treated by the large corporation dairys…..i guess every little bit helps….

I suggest you use rice milk. I have to use that and it is very good. It is full of rice protein and you can use it in any recipe to replace milk. It even comes in different flavors but I like the plain the best. It is also gentle on the stomach too.

well there is coconut, oat and (as you already said) rice milks. oat is ehhh not something i find appetizing for just drinking but is not bad in oatmeal or just cooking in general. i personally have never been that fond of coconut but perhaps you feel differently about them than i do :) rice milk is pretty good. i would recommend rice milk out of those three.

you could always just break down, go crazy and drink the real thing.

Besides rice milk, try oat, quinoa, and hemp milk. Oatly is pretty tasty, though some of them are fortified with D3 so you’d need to check which ones. I liked quinoa milk, but it has a rich un-milk-like undertone (hard to describe) that my friends didn’t like. I’ve heard someone came out with hemp milk, but I haven’t tried it yet.

I bought some rice milk b/c I am lactose intolerant, and it also contains soy. You are going to have to have a frank talk with a nutritionist to make sure your body is getting what it needs.
    Good luck on your search.

    RICE
    GRAIN BEVERAGES
ARE they really allergic to the SOY and NUTS or is it the PESTICIDES/fertilizer? Or maybe it is the SOY. why do you think someone would be ALLERGIC to soy? I guess that could be like asking: why is someone BORN BLIND?

  11. Jeff W says:

I’m betting you are not allergic to nuts…just could be categorized as one. WTF is rice milk?
