There is no problem with giving baby soy milk formula. It is up to the parent as to what they want to give their baby. Irregardless if they have an allergy or not. I give my baby soy milk formula because I feel that it is just healthier.

The latest studies show that soy is actually not good for males because soy has phytoestrogen, which is beneficial for females (because we need this type of plant estrogen) and not beneficial at all for males b/c it might make their testicles smaller. That is one of the negative things about soy. Other than that, it is very nutritious and environmentally more conscious than cow’s milk.

Well, it’s less healthy than regular formula, and also far more children are allergic to soy than to cows milk. Feel whatever you like. But be aware that it’s simply not true in general, so please don’t pretend it’s anything except random prejudice on your part.

  3. Timid Women Rarely Make History says:

Well, for one there is no natural calcium in soy milk, and less fat content. And younger children need that. So,it shouldn’t be based on what you think is healthier for you,but what is healthier for your child, based on their individual needs.

Soy is known to have a lot of hormones in it. Not good for a growing baby. A study even showed that female infants that were fed soy formula went into puberty a lot sooner than girls that were fed breastmilk or regular formula.

Soy milk causes their poop to be stinkier.
Breastfeeding is always best. I don’t really see a difference between giving a baby soy or regular formula.
Not really an option for me, because my baby is allergic to milk and soy. :)
