My son was just diagnosed with a milk allergy and we have switched him to Soy milk but I am confused on how long it’s good for? I bought it a week ago today an the expiration date says July 11th. So, does it stay fresher, longer than cows milk?

I would just go with what the box says. Also, you can google it.

July 11th is the date on the Soy milk that states how long it will be fresh if not opened till that date. Otherwise, if you open it before that time it will be fresh for 7-10 days on most soy milk. If you make your own soy milk it usually will be good for around four days.

If it’s unopened you can go by the expiration date, once you open it though, you must refrigerate it and use it within 10 days. Shake it every time you’ll use it. Try buying it at costco or sams by the case, good deal. Also, try soygurts, they are awesome.

Do what the carton says. My soy milk can last a while but once it has been opened it can only last for 3 – 5 days. Good luck
p.s if your son doesn’t like the taste try the flavoured soy milk.

    7-10 days after opening.
    Shake well, and buy often!

    Sometimes a year.
Heres a tip: don’t refrigerate soy milk and then remove. Kepp it in one or the other or it goes bad.
