Do You Think My Son Has An Allergy To Milk?
Posted by: Alan in Milk Allergies, tags: Allergy, Milk, Think
What would you think is my son not tolerating milk and need soy?
Ok lets start off with hes not crying or having any symptoms other than the below stated…
With MILK, he drinks it, and wakes up every 4 hours wanting more bottle and crying. And takes a 30 minute nap all day
With Soy he drinks it and sleeps all night, and takes a 2 hour nap.
Im confused as to it being a allergy cuz he has no other symptoms than sleeping less. and waking crying.
BUT he refused to drink milk while hes awake and drinking from a sippy he taste it then trows it

It could just be that the soy is sitting on his tummy longer. The milk could be upsetting his tummy so he feels like he needs something to sooth it. We often crave the foods that we’re sensitive or allergic to.
You didn’t mention how old your baby is. If he’s over 1 yod, you could try rice milk and see if that changes anything. All of my kids are allergic or sensitive to milk and soy. We do rice milk. If it’s formula you are giving them I would be looking for a constant runny nose. Dairy often causes excess mucus and so he’ll have a constant runny nose. My oldest son did that through his first first until I dietitian recommended we try soy milk and the running stopped. My youngest ds is allergic to soy and get eczema with it so we just turned to rice milk.

Dairy might upset his stomach. My son has a milk protein allergy and it gives him diarrhea if I eat anything dairy (still breastfeeding) Does he get diarrhea from it? I suppose he may just not like the taste of milk. If He’s not allergic and you still want him to have milk even though he only drinks soy, there is a brand called Silk Soy Milk that contains some dairy. They Have the best chocolate milk flavor.

youre confusing your sons taste buds. you have to stick to one milk and not change it. no your child is not allergic to milk. youre not giving it to him right. dont change the milk, keep to one. you should be breastfeeding if you think he is allergic to milk.

If he is tolerating soy better then I would stick with that.
How old is he?
