One doc says that since it is an allergy, it doesn’t matter how much dairy I eat – even a little bit will affect my baby. Another doc says dairy in moderation is OK. Who’s right?

Well im assuming these drs are allergy drs or are they reg. drs? I have alot of allergies one includes milk. I just had a baby 7 mths ago and she is not allowed any cows milk till shes one to make sure she is not allergic to it too and that is what my allergist told me to do. If you are breast feeding i would stay away from the dairy to make sure that your baby doesnt get an allergy to dairy as well. Even though i am highly allergic to milk i still eat very little maybe once a week things that have milk in them and it doesnt bother me. When i feel like im having a allergic reaction i just take my meds so that it doesnt get too bad. If you would like a third opinion on it go see an allery speciallist and they can tell you what would be good for you and your baby. Good Luck

Try it and see. Got 2 weeks with absolutely none then eat a small amount and see how it affects your baby.

If you are breast feeding then I would stay away from dairy products, try soy milk etc. If it is just your little one and they are not breast feeding I do not see why you can not drink/eat dairy products.

I would follow my doctor’s advice as the alternative puts your baby at risk. The elimination of dairy products in your diet is not a problem as long as your take the right type and levels of dairy substitutes for your health.
