My daughter is just about t turn one. She’s been on soy formula (and breast milk for a few months) since birth. At the hospital they gave her Isomil (similac’s soy formula) I’m assuming thats all they had on hand since I had no idea about it then. I’ve tried to give her milk based formula several times and every time within a few days she gets diarrhea. She currently is on WIC and they will be taking her off of formula since she’ll be one. I’m just worried that she may be allergic to milk and don’t know how to find out for sure. Isn’t she too little for allergy testing? Has anyone else dealt with this with their babies? and was it an allergy or did it go away? Thanks for any info:)

One Response to “How Can You Tell If Your Baby Has A Milk Allergy Or Sensitivity?”
  1. SPC Finochio's wife says:

If shes lactose intolorant she will have diarrhea / gas/ and stomach cramps. My oldest was on lactose free formula and she went to regular milk without a problem at 1. But if your daughter has a problem with it wic can give you lactose free milk.
