Can Baby Have A Soy Formula Allergy But Not A Milk Formula Allergy?
Posted by: Alan in Milk Allergies, tags: Allergy, Baby, Formula, Have, Milk
I am just trying to figure out why my calm baby turned fussy and gassy especially after feeding. She was on similac advance and would projectile vomit maybe once a day but was happy and content, then we were told to try soy and the fussiness and gas began. Now after 3 weeks she has a rash on face that seems to get worse. Anyone that can help please post–Thanks

She may have a soy allergy stop the soy immediately. Soy is a very common allergy just as common as peanuts. Go out and get a lactose free formula. I had to use lactose free formula soy had to many bad things going for it. It is high in estrogen and could cause allergic reactions.

Yes – you are talking about allergies to different products – soy and milk protein.
By the way – i am very cautious about the use of soy formula. there hasn’t been enough evidence yet for me to say that it is safe and isn’t causing problems with puberty. I would only use soy based formula as the very very last resort. There are hypoallergenic formulas that are better.

Yes it is extremely possible- I happen to be soy intolerant, meaning I can eat the stuff but it doesn’t agree with me. I can eat dairy no problem

I spent it with my uncle in Alaska hunting wolverines.
